beautiful, fun, imaginative images from russ and reyn. i love this; again harks back to childhood nostalgia (i'm becoming obsessed with this idea at the moment) of shadow puppets on the wall. simple photography mixed with creativity. basic clothes made exciting with quirky yellow pixie boots or bold tights. this is fashion photography at its best: keep it simple, keep it clean. sian x

Did your parents really look that fashionable?!

Ever looked through your parents old photographs for style ideas?



1979-The cardigan, the floral skirt, the pose, the festival....how cute!

1976-We all have a pair of these bell bottom jeans at the back of our wardrobe...but how come I never see any men wearing these? Are they that un-cool...is it just me that that thinks men in these jeans come across very attractive?

1975-The good old gang of harmless bikers! The leather jackets, I love! The jeans, I love!

But I notice all the men and women in this picture look the same...It makes me want to just add some girly styling, just to give some contrast between the two sexes. Don't get me wrong, I love androgyny...but this is just like looking at clones!

1977-Laid-back, boho, maxi dress, festival, summer, hippy, simple, girly, flowing...can never go wrong! All we need is a little bit of sunshine, and away we go.

Who are your favourite designers, or places to shop?

Ideally I like Chloe and Marc Jacobs, but realistically I'm into the Cheap Monday girl line... other than that I wear a lot of my grandmothers clothing when she was twenty or so.


What 3 items of clothing that you own, would you save in a fire?

My leather elbow length opera gloves, my favourite little black dress, and a dress from the sixties I bought for thirty dollars with the original tag still on it.


What are your plans for the rest of 2009?

Finish writing my short novel, Femme Fatale (the girls I have known), start up petite--anarchy in its fullest, be in love, undergo changes, grow taller.



What one rule or quote do you live your life by?
